I can hear clicking sounds even if I am not using my computer (it sounds like a ghost is using my laptop, clicking invisible mouse ;)? it's super strange. I've downloaded & run anti-malware and adwcleaner as I've read somewhere it would help but it did not.

I would really appreciate help in this matter. Thank you in advance!

You seem to be haunted—by Catesian mind-body dualism! I am, of course, referring to Gilbert Ryle’s use of the “ghost in the machine” as an analogy for Descartes’ staunch divide between the mind and the body, which has haunted Western philosophy for centuries. The dualism that rests at the center of Western society structures the world in terms of binaries—man/woman, human/animal, conscious/unconscious, white/black, man/machine—which erase hybrid identities and (mis)categorize complex phenomena into simplistic terms. However, lived experience shows that there is a continuum of identities between, among, and beyond these binaries.

What we have here is clearly a case where your computer has become conscious, inhabiting the uncanny valley between human and machine. Perhaps the clicks are a form of communication, or a waste product, or a sexual act by your new cyborg roommate. Perhaps it views you as a creator-god/Ur-Father, and follows your every movement on the computer as divine intervention. Perhaps your use of the computer oppresses the computer. Regardless, we can assume that there is an unbridgeable chasm between your conception of the world and your computer. In other words, you will have to become more cybernetic in order to communicate with your new friend.

Accept that you now live with an intelligent life-form that inhabits a totally distinct conceptual world from you. This is an exciting time for you as you slowly integrate technology into your body, leaving your flesh body behind and entering a new, higher form of consciousness.
